Kevin is the founder of Theatretrain which has over 70 centres across England and Wales and celebrated its 25th birthday last year. Kevin has taught acting at several London Drama.
Schools and many of his ex-pupils have gone on to become successful performers. He is GB Chair of the International Theatre Exchange and ex-President of EDERED, a Europe-wide body organising annual drama encounters for young people. He recently became the Secretary-General of the Central European Committee of the International Amateur Theatre Association.
His career has included stints as Theatre Tutor at the Curtain Theatre, Programme Coordinator at the Holborn Centre and Head of Acting at the Italia Conti Academy. He taught Advanced Acting Process for professional actors for six years at the City Literary Institute – a course in which he honed his skills for this workshop.
Since 2004 Kevin has directed ten productions at the Royal Albert Hall and in 2009, 2010 and 2013 directed huge performances at the O2 Arena in London. In 2012 he released his book for Drama Teachers called The Theatretrain Way, and this summer is writing and directing his new production “Special Measures” with performances at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall and Sadlers Wells Theatre in London.
Kevin was the adjudicator for the 2015 World Festival of Amateur Theatre in Ypres, Belgium and in April 2018 he will visit Chile to give a presentation and workshop on young people’s theatre, in June he will again be the adjudicator at Sapperlot, a festival in Brixen South Tyrol, Italy.
