Of bodies changed to other forms we tell, zooming into detail and soaring out to the world !
Mitch and Rowan have created an accessible course where you as an individual also can experience the sensibility of becoming part of an ensemble. Stripping back to the bare bones of narrative, through offering, receiving, discarding and developing . They will explore Mime / Commedia/ Physical Theatre, alongside the search for the truth, the creative moment and the joy of otherness.
An embodied pilgrimage of Beckett endurance, failing better, silent movie clowning, tragi- comic theatricality, character and spatial transformation and the stories the body tells. Using classical and contemporary techniques, Mitch and Rowan will take you on a journey, criss-crossing the boundaries of imaginative / creative physical interpretation.
Get your movement clothes ready and zip up your character boots …it’s time to get back to Theatre’s ever nourishing roots. It’s time to recalibrate the body and spirit.
“The reason I loved theatre was because I could imagine myself in other people’s shoes” – Mike Bartlett, playwright
